Division Program officers can provide support in the following areas:
- Promoting the integration of the practice nurse role within other Division program areas (for example immunisation, IM/IT, More Allied Health Services, Quality Use of Medicines, Chronic Disease Management, National Health Priority Areas).
- Promoting multi-disciplinary and team approaches in education and professional development activities with all practice team members .
- Facilitating opportunities for practice nurse input/involvement on Division Boards, reference groups and committees.
- Developing and/or disseminating tools and guidance on the practice nurse role in team activities, for example chronic disease management.
